The Basel Action Network is having a huge impact on the U.S. recycling industry. Known as BAN, the group was the first to help expose that toxic e-waste from America was polluting poor communities in Asia. Now, it's at the forefront of an effort to try rein in the U.S. recycling industry that even the GAO says has illegally exported toxic waste in violation of U.S. laws..
